Officer Julio DeJesus

Officer Julio DeJesus was born and raised in Vineland New Jersey. He is a 1994 graduate of Vineland Senior High School and attended Cumberland County College. After college, he then served as a Military Police Officer for four years with the United States Marine Corps.  Once his time of service was complete, he returned to Vineland to offer his services to his community by joining the Vineland Police Department, where he has been employed for the past 17 years.  Early on in his career, he was assigned to the Patrol Division for 8 years and then assigned to the Juvenile Unit for the last 9 years.  During the course of his career he was a certified Police Academy Drill Instructor, Physical Fitness Instructor, Police Youth Week (PYW) Drill Instructor, Field Training Officer and Gang Liaison. 

He is currently the Vineland Police Athletic League Director which works alongside the Juvenile Unit where he teaches Gang Prevention and Drug Awareness to the community and G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) to students in the Vineland Public School District. His responsibilities as Police Athletic League Director includes, but are not limited to, organizing the following sports activities Basketball, Boxing, Kid Fitness, Fishing Program, Golf and Karate.  He also oversees family programs like the PAL Summer Camp, Police Youth Week Camp, Police Explorers, G.I.A. (Girls In Action), The Tutoring Program and additional community events for children and their families. 

Officer DeJesus has been happily married to his wife for 17 years and have two beautiful daughters.
