Officer Julio DeJesus was born and raised in Vineland New Jersey. He is a 1994 graduate of Vineland Senior High School and attended Cumberland County College for Criminal Justice. After attending college, he served his country with the United States Marine Corps. During his time in the Marine Corps, he became a Military Police Officer and served overseas in Okinawa Japan as well as stateside in Washington DC. Upon successful completion of his service, he returned to Vineland and proudly joined the Vineland Police Department, where he has a tenure of 14 years. Initially, he was given the opportunity to work with the Patrol Division for almost 9 years and was later assigned to the Juvenile Unit where he cultivated a bond and relationships with parents, students and the schools in the district. During the course of his career he also assisted the Vineland Police Training Unit in becoming certified in assignments including but not limited to: Police Academy Drill Instructor, Physical Fitness Instructor, Field Training Officer, Police Youth Week (PYW) Drill Instructor, G.R.E.A.T. officer and Gang Liaison. He is the current director of the Police Athletic League programs, building, grounds and activities. He is thrilled to be working with the Vineland community and making partnerships with its members and families. Officer DeJesus has been happily married to his wife of 14 years and the two have two lovely daughters.
